The following is an awesome video produced by what I understand is a 15-year-old girl. Ladies, your mascara will run, but watch it anyway - it's worth it!

I've decided I want to do something for those I know who are serving, but I'm not sure what yet. I don't have a lot of funds to put into it, but that's not necessary. It's the act of one heart bursting forth with love to touch another. If this video has changed you, let me know what YOU plan to do about it. Don't just watch the video, shed a few tears, and go on with your life, but carry this forward and transform the momentum into action - whether that's sending a care package, writing a letter, posting a video to your loved one online, or any other of various options, including volunteering for the USO or another agency that supports those serving our country. Just reach out and show them you care!

Here are a few things I found in just a few minutes searching on Google. Doubtless you can find many, many more. In His Service Cards provides greeting cards directed specifically at servicemen and women, especially for encouragement. An organization called Any Solider connects people who want to help with those who are willing to receive and distribute it, whether that be material goods or letters. Icey Wrap has a "cooling wrap" to put around one's neck to help them more comfortable in the heat. I also found a page on About.com that listed a few ways to help (it's directed at what teens can do, but everyone can use these ideas). Finally, Soliders' Angels has a whole plethora of things you can do to help, including the Adopt a Solider program.

By the way, May is National Military Appreciation Month, so now's a great time to start something! And get your kids involved - you'll all be blessed! Even if you're not in favor of the war, remember, these are people, not principles.
